Dave, Devan, Michael, and Ryan head to a not at all creepy, abandoned mansion to film a documentary and end up getting burned alive, melted in half, and poorly singing drinking songs while discussing the 1989 Japanese horror film, "Sweet Home." The crew spend some time going over the various aspects of the film, from the characters to the setting, the special effects and the overall film quality. They also examine the large influence this movie ultimately had not only on the horror genre in general, but more specifically on the popular Resident Evil franchise. Thank you once again for taking time to hang out with us and listen to our podcast. Stay scared!

Dave, Devan, Michael and Ryan head to Haddonfield, Illinois, stab some unsuspecting babysitters and smash their heads into walls while they discuss 1988's "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers." The crew go over some of the things what worked in this third sequel, but also a number of aspects in the film that didn't age as well upon another rewatch. They discuss the characters, the various scenes that could've been improved upon, and whether or not the Michael Myers character was as effective this time around. As always, thank you so much for listening and hanging out with us. Stay scared and have a Happy Halloween!

Dave and Devan have way too much fun devising reverse bear traps and other dismemberment inducing gizmos as they discuss "Saw X," the latest release in the long running Saw franchise. The duo breakdown the film, its different but highly effective approach to the Saw formula, and its more in-depth exploration into the character of John Kramer aka Jigsaw. They also talk about the enjoyable traps in the second half of the film, the well written characters, and the fun twists and turns the franchise is known for. Thank you so much for listening and for supporting us! Stay scared!

Dave, Devan, Michael and Ryan head over to Dave's childhood home, put up a Lasser Glass mirror, and get into some fingernail-pulling, light-bulb-eating shenanigans as they dive into Mike Flanagan's 2013 horror thriller, "Oculus." The crew discuss their favorite parts of the film and its unsettling, is-it-real-or-not narrative that keeps you guessing right up until the end. They also explore the fantastic characters, images, and sequences that help keep you on the edge of your seat, and the clear parallels between this film and other projects in Flanagan's filmography. Dave, Devan, Michael and Ryan head over to Camp Crystal Lake, rent out a cabin, awkwardly dance with Crispin Glover and throw pretty twins out windows as they discuss the 1984 film, "Friday the 13th: The [Not-So] Final Chapter," the fourth installment in the long-running Friday the 13th franchise. The crew talk about where they think the film succeeded, including the fun, visceral kills by Jason Voorhees (played very well by Ted White), the funny (and unintentionally funny) moments, and some of the memorable characters, including Corey Feldman as Tommy Jarvis. They also briefly discuss its flaws, look at some of the other films in the series, and how The Final Chapter ranks as one of the better franchise entries. Thank you so much for listening and for supporting us! Stay scared!

Dave, Devan, Michael and Ryan head over to a bougie wedding and play the most deranged game of hide and seek ever while discussing the 2019 comedy-horror film "Ready or Not." The crew goes over the many aspects of the film they enjoyed, from the great acting (especially Samara Weaving in the lead role), the well-written script, set designs, etc. They also chat about how the movie does a great job of combining the comedy and horror genres, which is often difficult to do. We hope you have a great time listening to this discussion. Thank you as always for your support! Stay scared!

Dave, Devan, Michael and Ryan go to Dave's place to have a sleepover, drink lots of beer, have a pillow fight, and get hunted down by a psychopath with a large electric (but definitely not phallic) drill as they discuss "The Slumber Party Massacre," both the 1982 original film and its 2021 remake. The crew first examine the original film, what they enjoyed about it, and whether or not it succeeded in being effectively creepy despite its low budget and simplistic plot. They then talk about the 2021 remake and where they think it went wrong in trying to capture the effectiveness of the original film. We hope you enjoy listening to this discussion of these two Slumber Party films. Thanks again for your support! Stay scared!

Dave, Devan, Michael, and Ryan spend the night in a house where everything's reversed, read some harmless occult books, play with an impaled Louvre doll, and get pursued by Nothing while they talk about the 2020 horror thriller, "The Night House," directed by David Bruckner. The crew discuss what they enjoyed most about the movie, from the acting and the disturbing scenes, to the cinematography and music. They also examine the ambiguous nature of the film, and how it could be looked at as either a metaphor for depression and grief, a supernatural horror film, or both. Thank you so much once again for listening and for your continued support! Sleep tight!

Dave, Devan, Michael, and Ryan wake up in a cube shaped death chamber, make many ill-advised decisions, and discuss Vincenzo Natali's 1997 cult classic, "Cube." The crew discuss what made this film gain such a large following long after its release date, and how, despite the often poor acting, the premise, characters, and execution of the film overcome its deficiencies and leave a positive mark that has influenced other horror films over the last 25 years. We had a lot of fun with this episode and we hope you do as well. Thanks again for listening and for your support! Sleep tight!
